Ener2Crowd is an Italian crowdfunding platform dedicated to financing projects that contribute to the energy transition and sustainable development. Through its digital platform, Ener2Crowd connects private investors with projects in areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. By combining financial innovation with a strong focus on sustainability, Ener2Crowd aims to make private capital more accessible to projects capable of generating measurable environmental and social impact. The company brings to the POSIFIT project its experience in sustainable finance, crowdfunding, investor engagement and the development of innovative financing solutions for the energy transition.
ROLE OF YOUR ORGANIZATION IN THE PROJECT
Ener2Crowd contributes to POSIFIT by exploring and developing innovative financing mechanisms that can support the implementation and replication of Energy Positive Homes.
A key part of our contribution focuses on crowdfunding and co-financing opportunities for building renovation and energy transition projects. Within the project, Ener2Crowd has contributed to the analysis of existing financing mechanisms across the pilot countries, the mapping of relevant financial stakeholders and the study of investor behaviour and preferences.
Ener2Crowd has also developed a performance-based crowdfunding methodology, exploring how investment returns could be linked to the actual energy performance and savings generated by building interventions. This approach aims to create a stronger connection between financial returns and measurable environmental results.
Our role also includes supporting the preparation of a pilot crowdfunding campaign and helping translate the innovative solutions developed within POSIFIT into financing models that can be applied in real market conditions.
WHY IS POSIFIT IMPORTANT TO YOUR ORGANIZATION?
POSIFIT represents an important opportunity for Ener2Crowd to explore how innovative financing can help overcome one of the main barriers to the energy transition: access to capital.
The renovation of the European building stock requires significant investments, and public funding or traditional financing alone may not be sufficient to support the scale of transformation required. Through POSIFIT, Ener2Crowd can explore how crowdfunding and other forms of private investment can complement existing financing mechanisms and involve a wider range of stakeholders in the transition towards more sustainable buildings.
The project also provides an opportunity to connect Ener2Crowd’s expertise in sustainable crowdfunding with technical innovation, digital tools and real pilot projects. This collaboration helps us better understand the specific needs, risks and opportunities associated with financing Energy Positive Homes and to develop approaches that could potentially be replicated beyond the project.
EXPECTATIONS FROM POSIFIT
Through POSIFIT, Ener2Crowd aims to contribute to the development of practical and scalable financing solutions that can support the transition towards more energy-efficient and sustainable buildings.
We expect the project to demonstrate how technical innovation, digitalisation and innovative financing can work together to make Energy Positive Homes more accessible and financially viable. In particular, we hope to identify models that can effectively connect project developers, building owners, technology providers and private investors around common environmental and economic objectives.
Ultimately, POSIFIT offers an opportunity to bridge the gap between research and the market. By testing innovative financing approaches alongside real pilot projects and technological solutions, Ener2Crowd aims to help create pathways for private capital to play a more active role in accelerating the energy transition in the built environment.
