PARTNER PRESENTATION: OSMOSE (OSM)
Founded in 2000 in Roquefort-les-Pins (French Riviera), Osmose is an independent, founder-led SME that designs, manufactures, installs and maintains air-treatment and energy systems for industry and buildings. Osmose masters HVAC, control and building automation as one single system and covers the whole life cycle in-house — CFD simulation and engineering, prefabrication in its own 1,000 m² workshop, installation and commissioning, maintenance and energy optimisation. The company employs 60+ staff and partners and operates in 22 countries across 5 continents. It also develops patented products and KAIZIS, an AI-driven energy intelligence platform that plugs into existing BMS to detect anomalies and cut energy use.

Role of your organization in the project:
Osmose is a technical partner in POSIFIT and the consortium’s expert for HVAC and ventilation in industrial applications transferred to multifamily residential buildings, for improving the design and adaptability of renewable energy solutions, such as the coupling of solar thermal collectors with HVAC.
Concretely, Osmose helps develop the technical models of HVAC and ventilation systems feeding the multi-criteria decision-making algorithm, contributes to the definition of POSIFIT KPIs and to the technical, environmental and financial characterisation of active and passive solutions, takes part in the marketplace and platform interface work, and supports the evaluation of the POSIFIT design process in the pilot sites as well as the final design guidelines and certification recommendations.
EXPECTATIONS FROM POSIFIT:
- A validated, field-proven design process: models and decisions confirmed by real measurements in the pilot sites, not only by simulation.
- Design guidelines and certification recommendations for energy-positive buildings that Osmose can apply directly in its own projects.
- A stronger European network with partners across the construction and energy value chain and the visibility that comes with it.
- A route to transfer Osmose’s industrial HVAC, control and energy-optimisation expertise to the residential market, with a replicable and scalable offer at the end of the project.
